A friend of mine posted up a link:
7 Reasons Why You Will Never Do Anything Amazing With Your Life
And as I read it I wondered to myself whether it was believable…
In truth, I (like most of us) know I have had triumphs and failures in life, I have dared to care, dared to love, live and let go; I have dared to dream, and continue to do so every day. I believe life is a never-ending journey and to be a better person than we were the day before, we mustn’t stop learning – noone knows it all – mustn’t cease to be the child we once were – curious, with the desire to learn and know more – and must never stop asking questions, I’m still told to this very day “.. there is no such thing as a stupid question..” (I guess my various teachers in life were and are also gifted with endless patience).
As ugly as the truth may be at times, embracing that we each are flawed, and accepting ourselves (first and foremost) and those who are in our lives as ‘imperfect beings’, allows an inner peace.
I guess I think to myself that even if I don’t actively do anything ‘amazing’ like win a Nobel Prize, I know that my being here has positively influenced someone’s life – even if only for a moment in time – and that to me is amazing enough.
